The KU Natural History Museum is looking for volunteer assistants to help keep the museum clean and tidy. Museum tidiness assistants clean glass throughout the museum, wipe down signage and other surfaces, tidy stools, pick up anything left behind by visitors, and help us keep pamphlets, brochures, and scavenger hunts stocked. Tidiness assistants are vital in providing a clean, professional, and comfortable visit for everyone.
Frequency: 1-hour shift each week, same day per week
This position is full. Please reach out to be put on our wait list. New volunteers will be needed in May of 2018.

As part of the KU Biodiversity Institute, the KU Natural History Museum houses exhibits examining the earth's history, and provides content-rich, hands-on informal science learning for school groups in grades K-12. These programs have reached more than 40,000 participants over the past decade. The museum also offers a wide range of public programs and events that engage our community with the stories of our planet.
Description
The KU Natural History Museum is home to four floors of public exhibits including the historic Panorama; live snakes and insects; vertebrate and invertebrate fossils; parasites and microbes; and the flora and fauna of the Great Plains.
