SOUND THE ALARM 2023
Two minutes is all you may have to escape a home fire. Early warning from a working smoke alarm can help save your life. That’s why the American Red Cross is getting ready to Sound the Alarm in Rhode Island. We will be rallying local volunteers to install FREE smoke alarms and share home fire safety education in neighborhoods across the city.
- As part of the Home Fire Campaign, the Red Cross will host a Sound the Alarm event on Saturday, April 29th. Teams of volunteers and community partners will be in Pawtucket/Central Falls neighborhoods from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m canvassing and installing free smoke alarms.
- Volunteers will also meet with families to help them create a two-minute fire escape plan, share safety information on home fires and prepare them for other local disasters.
- VOLUNTEER: Join us for a rewarding day at our Sound the Alarm event. Visit SoundTheAlarm.org/Connecticut to register. No prior experience is needed - training will be provided.
