PURPOSE
To be available for VRI interpreting on-call before, during, and after a disaster when an on-site interpreter is on their way, unavailable, or unable to interpret following the CPC (example: unsafe/inaccessible environment)
OPEN TIME DAYS
Willing to be on call for at least 1 hour at a time; Hours will increase during active disaster responses; Actual interpreting time averages 10-30 minutes. During individual disaster response (home fires, etc.), on call shifts are requested in 6 hour time frames and expected virtual VRI deployment is less than 1 hour per month.
National and/or State recognized certification (RID credentials, BEI, etc.)
