ORGANIZATION: HCR-Manor/Heartland Hospice

Make your dreams come True!!!
Pet Therapy at bedside

Pet Therapy has been proven to increase paint tolerance, reduce stress and lower blood pressure. Heartland Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals with Certified Therapy Pets to visit our hospice patients. Often times hospice patients withdraw from loved ones and the world as a way to ease the transition towards death. Talking to loved ones might become difficult and painful but interacting with a friendly animal is easier, less painful, and brings lots of joy and smiles to our patients. Contact me directly Shannon Mendoza, Volunteer Coordinator at (714)553-2366 if you have a Certified Therapy Pet and would like to make a difference!!
