Are you a seasoned and talented content editor? Are you passionate about wildlife conservation? Are you fascinated by nonhuman primates?

Through our humane education programs, New England Primate Conservancy is committed to leaving a legacy of hope, and tools to create a better tomorrow for all the Earth's citizens. We offer fun learning activities, engaging lesson plans, stories, facts, presentations, videos, and a wealth of resources for one’s personal interest or to create stimulating multi-disciplinary learning environments... because education is the heart of animal protection.

New England Primate Conservancy's team of writers creates educational content for all ages and education levels to give readers glimpses into the worlds of nonhuman primates and their relationships to issues of conservation. Scientific and academic jargon are avoided, although defined when needed. For the most part, our writers employ a story-telling approach to present what might otherwise be considered dry data in the context of engaging conservation stories. Technical facts serve as the foundations for the stories, but this is a creative writing experience that takes the extra step to make clear to readers that there are real problems that are threatening all species. If primate species are threatened, so too are all other species in their environment. Primates are an indicator species of the health of the environment.

As our volunteer writing team has grown, so too has our need for content editing to not only catch spelling and grammatical inconsistencies, but also to ensure that the tone is consistent across the board, while, at the same time, allowing each author to retain her or his "voice".

This volunteer position can be accomplished from your home, with close email and phone correspondence with the NEPC’s founder, the writers, and graphic designers.

If you are a seasoned editor with a passion for conservation and wildlife protection, this opportunity may be for you.

You must have internet and email access. NEPC will provide access to appropriate apps.
