Niños de Guatemala - Antigua, GUATEMALA
Niños de Guatemala (NDG) provides underprivileged children with an education. NDG operates two primary schools and a secondary school which house over 500 Guatemalan children that would otherwise not have been able to go to school. All students receive English classes as part of our standard curriculum. Given the strength of the tourism industry in Guatemala, even a basic grasp of English can dramatically improve a student’s chances of finding a job once he or she graduates from our program.
At Niños de Guatemala we have one local English teacher per school. Niños de Guatemala is seeking a native English speaker volunteer who can help bring the English Program to the next level.
Are you a native English speaker, who is a natural at coordinating and assisting with English Classes? Then we are looking for you!
Apply now for English Program Development Coordinator in Antigua (voluntary, 20h a week).

Mission Statement
NDG is a Dutch-Guatemalan nonprofit working to break the cycle of poverty in Guatemala by providing quality education to those who need it most. Since our founding in 2006, we have opened two primary schools and one Secondary school, Nuestro Futuro, El Porvenir and Básico, which now serve more than 525 Guatemalan children from low-income families in the towns of Ciudad Vieja and San Lorenzo de Cubo.
Description
NDG’s motto has always been that everyone can do something. Dedicated volunteers are key to our mission of breaking the cycle of poverty through education in Guatemala. Through our program, you can get off the beaten track and experience Antigua’s wonderful, culture, people, and landscapes, all while giving back in our schools.
Our volunteers come from all types of backgrounds and range in age from eighteen to sixty. We have an average of five people volunteering with us at any given time. During high season, however, there may be as many as fifteen volunteers in our programs at once.
