About Us:

Save the Water(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water; and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. The Role :

Save the Water(tm) is seeking a Fundraising Director. If you are passionate about Fundraising and you relate to our organization’s goals, then become part of our organization. The Fundraising Director position is a remote/virtual opportunity. Reach out to us at newvolunteers@savethewater.org .

What you will be responsible for.....

• Develop and execute a sustainable fundraising strategy for STW, building annual goals.
• Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations.
• Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising.
• Oversee a department of 5-20 volunteers and interns, holding them accountable for their work, and provide ongoing coaching and assistance.
• Communicate regularly with Vice President and other Directors, as needed, and provide monthly reports to the leadership
• Manage and keep operational documents current and assist in developing new procedures & documents for the organization
• Plan and conduct monthly Fundraising Group meetings, including sending agenda, taking meeting minutes, and follow up

• Excellent planning & time management skills
• Focused attention to detail and follow through
• Ability to handle multiple projects and with an ability to focus on details

• Capacity for self-direction, with tact and diplomacy, and for working cooperatively
• Demonstrated project management skills

Directors are expected to contribute a minimum of 12 hours per week and be responsive to emails within three (3) calendar days.
