Sunbury’s Revitalization Inc. is a volunteer-based, active organization that works year-round to move Sunbury forward to becoming a viable, community-centered City. The heart of the organization is passionate volunteers to assist in a variety of capacities. SRI has something for anyone looking to help move Sunbury forward.


Are you interested in being part of the "behind the scenes" group that organizes the Lake Augusta Wine & Brew Festival? The Lake Augusta Wine & Brew Festival is a celebration of libations, music, food and Lake Augusta on the banks of Sunbury. Celebrate with us on September 15th, 2018!

Wine & Brew Volunteer Position Descriptions: *Must be 21 years of age or older to volunteer*

Wine Check: Run the Wine Check tent during the festival. Store bought bottles of wine and beer for festival attendees, using a catalog system. Pack multiple bottles (with care) for attendees to take home at the end of the festival.

Pre-event Planning Volunteer: These volunteers will work prior to the event. Used primarily for pre-event advertising, marketing and vendor recruitment. Will meet monthly, more often as the event approaches, at a location in Downtown Sunbury.

Ticket Sales: Assist with ticket sales. Make sure patrons get the correct ticket for their purchase and instruct them to exchange the ticket for a wristband. Handle cash and credit cards (you will be trained).

I.D & Wristband Exchange: Provide the correct color wristband to patrons and check ID’s before giving out tickets. Do not give wristbands directly to the patron. The wristband must be placed directly on the wrists of all patrons. Once they are snapped closed, you’ll use scissors to cut off the excess tag. Direct would-be ticket purchasers to the ticket tent. Must be willing to refuse anyone under 21 years of age or anyone without proper identification.

Floater: Vary from shift to shift. Assigned to position during the event. Assignments will be matched with volunteer talents and interests as much as possible. Special requirements depend on nature of task, but generally involves some walking, so wear comfy, closed toe shoes.

Set Up: Help set up the entire venue. Check-in at Volunteer headquarters or if outside of headquarter hours, the location will be communicated to you at a date closer to the Festival. Hang signs, put up barricades/tents/tables/chairs/etc. throughout festival area. Assorted lifting and moving. Bring work gloves if you have them. Wear good shoes and check the weather report (sunscreen or rain gear? Hot or cold?) before you leave your house!

Tear Down: Meet at Volunteer Headquarters for your assignment location. Tear-Down crew will be broken into small groups. Move/dismantle tents, chairs, barricades, take down signs, empty trash cans, assist with dismantling some sound/stage equipment. Bring work gloves if you have them. Wear good shoes and check the weather report (Sunscreen or rain gear? Hot or cold?) before you leave your house!

Green Team: Help keep the Wine & Brew Festival green! Trash and recycling, plus more. Keep the trash and recycling containers from overflowing and pick up any litter throughout the festival.
