The Kanawha State Forest Foundation has an exciting announcement. We've received a $9,000 grant from the C.C. Dickinson Family Giving Circle to host an outdoor classroom in the spring of 2018.

This outdoor classroom with give a couple hundred inner city students the opportunity to experience nature firsthand, and learn about conservation, in a forest environment, May 10th, 2018

A multitude of volunteers are needed to successfully plan and host this event at Kanawha State Forest, so please come and share your ideas and find a niche that fits your interest and skills.

**The DEP Headquarters is the 3-story building located across 57th street from the DMV at the Kanawha Mall. Drive to the back of the building to access the door to the Cooper's Rock meeting room.
