ChickTech is a multi-generational community supporting women and girls in the STEM fields.

We are dedicated to retaining women in the technology workforce and increasing the number of women and girls pursuing technology-based careers. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events to empower, support, and increase the confidence of women and girls. Through our events, ChickTech builds community, empowers participants to see themselves as leaders, and provides networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing high tech industry.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager for the Raleigh-Durham chapter of ChickTech. This volunteer role would be responsible for developing and documenting a marketing system that will let our community know all about the great things we're doing. Involved in this is encouraging people to come to/volunteer at our events, securing PR opportunities, and keeping our web presence updated. You'll also work with the Fundraising Manager to craft great messages and materials to raise funds.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Strong writing and editing skills

• Understanding of social media, web, and mail campaigns

• Ability to work well with others

• Be capable of thinking creatively and analytically

• Knowledge of Hootsuite and WordPress a plus

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop, document, and manage the branding marketing and communications strategies for the chapter

• Develop marketing strategy for new events and programs

• Maintaining chapter presence on social media and our website

• Work with leadership team to promote any events and provide materials to acknowledge and sustain our relationships with donors

• Create and maintain newsletters to keep our students, volunteers, and mentors up-to-date with news and events

• Analyzing the chapter’s social media and online presence

• Researching ways to reach a wider audience base, both online and in print

• Ensuring that all digital communications are aligned with the chapter's brand identity
