The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Locket's Meadow Farm Sanctuary (aka Rescues who Rescue) is searching for a Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to take the lead on the fundraising we need to maintain day-to-day operations of the farm (animal feed, veterinary care, facility maintenance, etc.), as well as fund special projects (replace fencing, add sheds and lean-to's for animal shelter, etc.). The Sanctuary operates on an incredibly tight shoestring budget, funded by the owner's themselves and a small amount of private individual donors. The ideal volunteer will have fundraising or business management experience and will be able to take the lead on increasing our private donations, seeking out corporate donations, and submitting applications for grants. The Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator will be able to pull in help from our network of farm volunteers who are willing and able to help with fundraising, but who need guidance from someone that can coordinate and delegate.
