Mentoring is the most fun. I recognize it’s a big (and can feel overwhelming) commitment, but we promise it will change lives - mostly yours. We currently have 15 elementary school boys from our neighborhood who have submitted applications telling us they really want and need a mentor, and we have zero male mentors currently signed up to answer their plea. If you are a guy, or know a guy, or are married to a guy, who wants to have fun and make a difference, please consider joining our mentoring community. Our next mentor training is coming up Jan 27th! A little bit about our organization:
Blueprint 58 is a community-based mentoring program in the Adair Park and Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Atlanta. Blueprint 58 is unique in its approach to community development, focusing on both fostering mentoring relationships through the local school, and establishing a healthy and positive presence in the neighborhood. Blueprint 58 was birthed from the realization of the need for lasting relationships as the only context for community transformation. Our goal is to see the children of our community grow up to be leaders and agents of change in their neighborhood, breaking cycles of poverty and encouraging transformation for the next generation.

Blueprint 58 is a community development organization that serves Atlanta’s Pittsburgh community and its surrounding neighborhoods. Our core belief is that lasting relationships are the best context for community transformation. Our mission is to strengthen our community by empowering youth, equipping young adults and families, and engaging neighbors.
Description
At Blueprint 58, we take a relational approach to community development, and work to accomplish our vision of a thriving community in Southwest Atlanta primarily through a variety of programs designed to empower youth, equip young adults and families, and engage our neighbors.
Mentoring is at the heart of what we do at Blueprint58. Our mission is to empower youth to grow into community leaders through mutually transformational relationships. Part of how we accomplish this is to match local mentors with 3-5th grade students that can commit to at least one year, and our hope is that our mentors will walk alongside their student through high school.
Sports provides a way for us to mentor our middle and high school students through dedicated coaches and volunteers. In addition, it's an opportunity for community members to rally around their teams and get to know one another. We have basketball and football teams for youth up to age 18.
Finally, we also provide various personal development programs ranging from weekly Bible studies to community support groups, outreach events, and weekly open hours for students at our new community center building in the Pittsburgh neighborhood.
