Women on change (WoC) is a 501(C)(3) startup organization that mobilizes women globally to mold interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for hard to reach females under the age of 18 years old.

Start Date: ASAP (Tomorrow) End Date March 27, April 30th , May 30th

Location Remote: (availability on the day of events, if you wish to attend is fine, however, not mandatory)

Time Commitment: 5 to 8 hours per week

Job Description: The STEM event/fundraising specialist will work with the founder to plan and execute Women on Change’s major fundraising and information sessions nationally.

Planning of events includes, but not limited to local and national outreach, coordinating, scheduling meetings, researching, posting events on social media websites, design, recruit volunteers, coming up with fundraising ideas to support raise funds to aid low-income girls nationally.

This role does not require onsite meetings, until the day of the event, if the volunteer/intern wishes to come to the event. Ability to utilize technologies for documentation, communication and more when required is a must.

Qualifications 1. Familiarity with google applications and social media or willing to learn within a week 2. Professionalism to communicate with local and national leaders, volunteers, board and others are a must 3. Ability to write and adhere to email etiquette and verbal communication are essential 4. Ability to take photos and videos during the event is nice to have 5. Sales, social media and marketing experience are nice to have 6. Self-starter, ability to manage your time, and communicate efficiently are required
