Looking for drivers to serve the seniors of St. Clair County Illinois. We have been forced to start a waiting list due to the high demand of people needing transports. We transport people 60 and older to grocery stores, banks, post offices, and most importantly, doctor's visits. We drive them as far as Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, all for no fee to the senior. It is a very important program, and we have many amazing volunteers. However, the demand for rides has surpassed our supply of available drivers. Out of all the opportunities to volunteer, why should you choose our organization? We make volunteering easy. You get to decide when, where and how far you will transport our clients. Through our on-line database, you are able to see the week's schedule and decided which ones work for your schedule. We have seniors scattered throughout the county, from Mascoutah and Freeburg to Belleville and East St. Louis; all in need of basic transportation. Keep in mind that you will dictate how often you perform transports as well. Furthermore, we pay 65 cents per mile reimbursement, to help with Gas costs.
