CES Ani-Meals delivers pet food to meals on wheels clients once a month to keep their pets healthy. This is a great opportunity for one person, two friends or a familyto help elderly and disabled people keep their pets healthy. The pet food is picked up on on the second Saturday of the month at our location, 1900 11th Ave S. You can deliver any time that weekend, just call the clients first and make sure they are home or there are notes on where you can leave the food.

We have two south Minneapolis routes open right now; they take less than an hour to deliver. You can take a route once or twice and see if it's something you would like to do every month.

Mission Statement

Community Emergency Service transforms lives by serving neighbors, sharing resources and becoming community - a place where people come hungry and leave hopeful.

Description

Community Emergency Service is a multi-service non-profit organization that runs a number of food based assistance programs for Minneapolis residents. Our main programs include: Food Shelf, Meals on Wheels, Home Delivery, Bonus Friday Distribution, and East African Food Distribution.

CES is located within one of the most diverse, densely populated neighborhoods in Minneapolis; over 20,000 people live within its boundaries. 46% of families living in the Phillips neighborhood are below the federal poverty level.

At CES, we strive to serve all our neighbors in need without distinction or test. We invite support from volunteers and donors and are open to collaboration with other agencies, regardless of religious affiliation.

Will you help us move people from hunger to hope?
