Meals on Wheels for pets: be a substitute driver

ORGANIZATION: Community Emergency Service

I need a few poeple who could be substitute drivers for Ani-Meals. I would contact you the second week of the month to find out if you could pick up pet food and deliver the second Saturday of that month. Food would be picked up between 10 am and noon at 1900 11th Ave S and delivered that weekend. You ar provided with a list of names, addresses and phone numbers. The routes take less than an hour. It's easier (and more fun) to have two people deliver; one to drive and one to schlepp.

CES Ani-Meals delivers pet food to Meals on Wheels clients in Minneapolis once a month to keep their pets healthy. This is a great opportunity for one person, two friends or a familyto help elderly and disabled people keep their pets healthy.

Feel free to contact me with any questions: Melanie 612-870-1125 x108 or mlapointe@cesmn.org

About Community Emergency Service

Location:

1900 11th Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN 55404, US

Mission Statement

Community Emergency Service transforms lives by serving neighbors, sharing resources and becoming community - a place where people come hungry and leave hopeful.

Description

Community Emergency Service is a multi-service non-profit organization that runs a number of food based assistance programs for Minneapolis residents. Our main programs include: Food Shelf, Meals on Wheels, Home Delivery, Bonus Friday Distribution, and East African Food Distribution.

CES is located within one of the most diverse, densely populated neighborhoods in Minneapolis; over 20,000 people live within its boundaries. 46% of families living in the Phillips neighborhood are below the federal poverty level.

At CES, we strive to serve all our neighbors in need without distinction or test. We invite support from volunteers and donors and are open to collaboration with other agencies, regardless of religious affiliation.

Will you help us move people from hunger to hope?
