Food Recovery Network (FRN), the largest student movement fighting food waste and hunger in the country, is coordinating a large-scale food recovery from the Specialty Food Association 2018 Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, CA. This event is FRN’s biggest one-day food recovery to date, and we are recruiting 200 volunteers to help collect, sort, and transport more than 50,000 pounds of food. We will be collecting edible, surplus food from the Moscone Center on January 23 . All of the food will be donated to the SF Marin Food Bank and the Walden House to help feed the people who are hungry throughout San Francisco and Marin.
