Pamplin Historical Park is hosting its first annual membership gala. The fundraiser will include a state of the Park address, door prizes, a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres and an bar. Volunteers are needed for set-up, check-in, at the main museum and clean up.

Mission Statement
The mission of Pamplin Historical Park is to interpret American life during the Civil War to a broad audience at the highest professional standards through the use of collections, exhibits and educational programs in a manner that reflects the Pamplin family's commitment to learning, quality and heritage. Particular emphasis will be given to the experience of the common soldier, Southern civilians and the participants in the engagement of April 2, 1865. The Park will be operated so as to preserve its tangible historic resources for future generations.
Description
Pamplin Historical Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier is a 424-acre historical campus located in Northern Dinwiddie County. Site of the Breakthrough Battle on April 2, 1865, it is now home to world-class museums, antebellum homes, a historic Civil War battlefield, an enslaved life exhibit, costumed living history demonstrations, educational programs and the Civil War Adventure Camp. The Park has been recognized by numerous media outlets and educators for its hands-on, interactive programming.
