New York Blood Service is a division of the New York Blood Center. With community trust and commitment and as an employer of choice, we will provide the safest, high quality transfusion related products and services in tandem with research, medical care innovation and education.
Volunteers are assigned to blood drives in Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan depending on where they live.
New York Service is one of four regional divisions of the New York Blood Center. Our primary function is to ensure a safe and reliable blood supply is always available. Our staff is directly responsible for the collection, inspection and distribution of blood and blood products to over 200 hospitals in the greater New York metropolitan area.
