Mentor2.0 matches students from Atlas Preparatory School in Colorado Springs with college-educated mentors in the community, providing the students with support and guidance through their high school career to prepare them for college and the workforce.
The majority of the mentorship is done over a secure online platform (iMentor), as a "pen pal mentorship" - this allows for busy professionals to flex their time-investment around their schedules. In addition, there are monthly events for in-person mentoring facilitated by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Volunteers must be 21 years of age and have the equivalent credit hours of a two-year college degree. Volunteers must also be willing to commit to the program for four years, as we try to make matches from freshman year through graduation - we want the students to have an example of consistency and commitment in their lives.
