Purpose of Position:

Community Cats Curriculum Specialists present training to the public on important topics such as Trap-Neuter-Return basics, feral cat shelter building, socializing feral kittens, caring for orphaned kittens, facilitating positive neighbor relations and more! As we expand this program we will rely heavily on volunteer support to deliver these presentations. This is a great opportunity for volunteers aiming to develop their presentation skills. With volunteer help, we will improve the quality of life of free-roaming cats in our community through awareness and education.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Present Community Cat courses in the shelter and in the community
  • Provide feedback to Tree House staff regarding courses and trainings


  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Friendly, outgoing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing and able to commute to offsite locations to deliver presentations

Training Volunteer Will Receive:

  • Education on the courses we offer
  • Presentation training

Requirements & Commitment

  • Must be at least 18
  • Regular Schedule, 3-5 hours weekly
