INTERNSHIP FOR THE SUMMER SEMESTER
- attending screening events throughout the semester to help screen clients
- will be state-certified to provide these vision screenings by Prevent Blindness Texas
- must be available at least 12 hours a week (Mon-Fri)
- must have own transportation to our Dallas office or to screening events during shift
- Interest in public service or public health
- Must have access to transportation

Description
The Northeast regional office offers free children's (6 months to 18 years) vision screenings, vision and visual field screenings to adults, education programs (safety instruction in the workplace, children's programs and aging eyes programs for seniors) and free glasses to qualifying adults. Prevent Blindness Texas is a nonprofit, tax exempt, voluntary health organization devoted exclusively to vision preservation and prevention of blindness. It is affiliated with Prevent Blindness America.
