This youth is from Eritrea and arrived in March of 2017 at one of Bethany's residential homes. He did not receive much education before entering the US, but he learns very quickly on his own and has moved quickly through programs at school. The youth is respectful, hard-working and has maintained good relationships with other staff and youth since arrival. He often studies extra and does an excellent job maintaining his responsibilities. He enjoys playing soccer and video games, and learning English. Just recently, this youth moved into an independent living placement, and he could use some extra support as he is expecting open-heart surgery in March of 2018.
