Fun, hard-working, "with-it", and Enlighted volunteers are needed to help lead our Girl Scouts toward more physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. This will be a hands-on opportunity in which you will work closely with pre-teen and teenage girls. Is this you? If so, volunteers are required to participate in two pre-planning meetings before the event date:

  • Wednesday, February 21st 7 - 8 PM conference call
  • Saturday, February 24th, 2017 in person meeting from 9 - 10:30 at
When: March 3rd, 2018
Where: Friendship Baptist Church (3400 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216)
Time: 8AM-2PM
Volunteer Duties: Volunteers will be assigned a station that supports your individual strengths. Volunteers will be asked to facilitate meaningful discussion, support arts and crafts, and lead fun physical activities

When people think about Girl Scouts, they think crafts, cookies, and camp but a lot has changed in 103 years. Here at the Girl Scouts, Hornets’ Nest Council our girls get their hands dirty with bugs and bones, put their minds to work on science and engineering projects, challenge their body and minds with challenge courses and 5k’s, help breast cancer patients survive their toughest moments, and build lasting relationships with fellow Girl Scouts. We serve extraordinary girls in Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York counties and we are always in need of extraordinary adults to help our girls reach their full potential.
