Our organization welcomes immigrants and refugees through mutually beneficial mentoring, cross-cultural learning, naturalization preparation and English language development, and personal, work/professional and family skill development, enriching community through friendship and trust .

We are seeking 3-4 people, Mentor Team, to work with the Program Manager to design and implement a cohort based mentoring program for refugees and mainstream volunteers.

Program design and implementation experience, strong communication skills, creativity, and reliability are what we are looking for. experience working with immigrants and refugees, helpful.

Description

Portland Meet Portland offers unique two-way cultural learning and diversity training opportunities through thoughtful family and individual mentoring connections across cultures. Our educational and professional mentoring services build the trust and capacity for integration among immigrants and refugees while simultaneously, and consciously, fostering cross-cultural learning and diversity training for longer-term residents/mentors from the greater Portland area. We have four areas of service. Citizenship and ESL Education
Youth Leadership Development and Lived Citizenship Work Skills and Professional Mentoring Cross-cultural Training and Dialogue Services
