About

Are you looking to make a real and lasting difference in someone’s life? Would you like to get teaching experience working with adults? Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts (LVM) trains volunteers to provide free, confidential and individualized tutoring to adults in basic literacy and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). LVM tutors are dedicated, patient, flexible and encouraging volunteers who create a positive learning environment where adults can thrive and learn without embarrassment.

With improved literacy skills and the confidence that comes with them, adults are able to pursue a better life and a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.

The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend a volunteer information session. Join us January 31, from 6-8pm, for our first two information sessions of 2018. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, RSVP for one of the information sessions by clicking HERE. If you have any questions, please email Josh Dees at josh@lvm.org OR call him at 617-367-1313.

If you cannot make the January 31 session, you can also RSVP for our January 17 session.

We look forward to meeting you and telling you more about what it means to be a volunteer at LVM-Boston.
