Do you have a pet that brings you joy, unconditional love, brightens your day, loves attention, and gives affection!?
The human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship between people and animals that positively influences the health and well-being of both. While many of us understand the benefits of positive interactions with animals in our lives, the impact the human-animal bond can have on individual and community health is great.
- Animals have a special way of showing unconditional love & affection to lift the spirit!
Animals help to bring joy and encourage social interaction, especially with those who are starting to withdraw from others or unable to engage in other activities.
- Animal Assisted/Pet Therapy has been proven to reduce anxiety & pain symptoms, lower blood pressure, ease depression, and relieve boredom & loneliness.
Contact with animal companions is especially meaningful to patients who are no longer able to care for their own beloved pet!
