ORGANIZATION: The Nature Conservancy in Wisconsin

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Get outdoors and help The Nature Conservancy manage its Military Ridge Prairie preserves! We hold stewardship work parties throughout the year, with tasks such as invasive plant removal, brush cutting, and seed collecting. New volunteers are always welcome!

From April through June, we'll have work parties on the following dates:
- April 14, 9 am to 12 pm (Barneveld Prairie)
- May 12, 9 am to 12 pm (Barneveld Prairie)
- June 9, 9 am to 12 pm (Thomson Memorial Prairie)

In April and May, we'll be cleaning up and piling brush as well as pulling garlic mustard. These two work days will take place at the Muehllehner addition to the Barneveld Prairie. Meet at the parking lot just north of the Hwy K and Prairie Grove Rd intersection.

In June, we'll pull wild parsnip at the Thomson Memorial Prairie. Meet at the parking lot at the end of Thronson Rd.

Please visit our website for more information about these volunteer days, including directions, what to wear, and contact information.
