Are you interested in supporting a re-entry program that supports access to health care for individuals with HIV and/or Hep C? Correctional Health Linkage to Care, a program of Health Imperatives, is seeking a volunteer who is able to serve as an office assistant in this program. This person would be able to get involved in the following ways:

Administrative Tasks
1. Answering the phone at the front desk
2. Making copies of brochures/resources for clients in the program
3. Helping organize donations and keep track of what's needed
4. Scanning records
5. Organizing files
6. Other tasks, as needed.

Correctional Health Linkage to Care (formerly PASS) offers intensive case management and reintegration services for incarcerated individuals living with HIV or Hep C in Southeastern MA. This program supports clients in the following ways:

  • Accessing health insurance and applying for/reinstating Social Security and other benefits as needed
  • Finding care services for primary health, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and substance abuse
  • Providing linkage to community HIV/AIDS service organizations and medical case management
  • Providing transportation to medical and case management appointments
  • Connecting clients with other community based services, such as housing search
  • Searching for residential treatment facilities
Health Imperatives is a non-profit community based agency that provides vital health and human services to nearly 30,000 families and individuals each year from communities stretching from Quincy to Nantucket. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of low-income or vulnerable families and individuals in Southeastern Massachusetts.
