Clean Ocean Access is hosting the 5th Annual Newport Harbor Swim Event: Swim to Skim on Sunday July 8, 2018! This is a 0.9 mile and 1.5 mile swim event across the Newport Harbor, beginning at Perrotti Park on America's Cup Avenue, and ending at Kings Park Beach. Clean Ocean Access is looking for volunteers to staff this large event. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Starting line duties (10 volunteers)
- Finish line duties (10 volunteers)
- Paddle Boarders and Kayakers (40 volunteers) -- experience necessary and personal equipment preferred. Paddle boards and kayakers are necessary for defining the race path and protecting the swimmers.
