ORGANIZATION: WildCare

SUPPORT VOLUNTEER NEEDED IN THE VOLUNTEER SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Our Volunteer Services Department is in great need of a "rockstar" volunteer to complete administrative tasks every week for a 4 hour block over the next 6 months and beyond, starting ASAP! You will be working with Jessica & Monica in the Volunteer Services department, helping to manage data and communications that go out to all the 500+ volunteers here and several hundred prospective volunteers.
Tasks change every week according to what’s going on at WildCare, but you can expect the normal projects to include:

  • Inputting volunteer information into our database
  • Managing content & scheduling of email blasts
  • Assisting in organizing the annual Orientations
  • Managing active/inactive/prospective volunteer files
  • Filing volunteer information & paperwork
  • Updating content for Wildcare’s volunteer webpages
  • Organizing event collateral and tabling materials
  • Creating WildCare schedules for classes, meetings, shifts etc.
  • tracking and managing volunteer hours
AVAILABLE DAYS & TIMES:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays 9-1 or 1-5

Required skills include:
  • MUST BE VERY COMFORTABLE ON COMPUTER
  • Fast & accurate typing
  • Efficient with Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Familiar with MailChimp (email-blast program)
  • Posting on social media
  • Quick learner on information databases
  • Patient, optimistic, able to focus (you know how close our work-quarters are here! :)
