SUPPORT VOLUNTEER NEEDED IN THE VOLUNTEER SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Our Volunteer Services Department is in great need of a "rockstar" volunteer to complete administrative tasks every week for a 4 hour block over the next 6 months and beyond, starting ASAP! You will be working with Jessica & Monica in the Volunteer Services department, helping to manage data and communications that go out to all the 500+ volunteers here and several hundred prospective volunteers.
Tasks change every week according to what’s going on at WildCare, but you can expect the normal projects to include:
- Inputting volunteer information into our database
- Managing content & scheduling of email blasts
- Assisting in organizing the annual Orientations
- Managing active/inactive/prospective volunteer files
- Filing volunteer information & paperwork
- Updating content for Wildcare’s volunteer webpages
- Organizing event collateral and tabling materials
- Creating WildCare schedules for classes, meetings, shifts etc.
- tracking and managing volunteer hours
Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays 9-1 or 1-5
Required skills include:
- MUST BE VERY COMFORTABLE ON COMPUTER
- Fast & accurate typing
- Efficient with Excel/Word/Outlook
- Familiar with MailChimp (email-blast program)
- Posting on social media
- Quick learner on information databases
- Patient, optimistic, able to focus (you know how close our work-quarters are here! :)
