Hospice volunteers visit people wherever they call home, there are many ways to help as a hospice volunteer and time commitment is flexible. We offer flexible training and volunteer opportunities as unique as your are.
There are many ways to help as a hospice volunteer:
-Provide a break for a family, so the patient is not home alone
-Share stories, play games and read
-Licensed volunteers offer specialized assistance, such as massage therapy, haircuts, household keeping and pet therapy
-Comforing companions sit with people during their last hours of life, ensuring no one ever dies alone
-Bereavement volunteers assist Grief Counselors by participating in support groups and providing check in phone calls to families
