When you become a hospice volunteer with Aurora at Home, you create a comforting environment for people, bringing them joy, decreasing their anxiety and enhancing their quality of life.

Hospice volunteers visit people wherever they call home. We offer flexible training and volunteer opportunities as unique as your are.

There are many ways to help as a hospice volunteer:
-Provide a break for a family, so the person in not home alone
-Share stories, play games and read
-Licensed volunteers offer specialized assistance, such as massage therapy, haircuts, household keeping and pet therapy
-Comforing companions sit with people during their last hours of life, ensuring no one ever dies alone
-Assist people with other services such as grass cutting, snow removal, yard work and housekeeping
-Clerical volunteers help with general office duties, such as mailings, copying, faxing and data entry
