ORGANIZATION: New Hope Housing, Inc.

  • 7 people are interested

Do you have a warm, friendly face and positive demeanor? Are you looking for an opportunity during the week in an office setting? Are you interested in working to end homelessness in Northern Virginia?

If any of those apply to you, New Hope Housing would love to have you volunteer with us at our Administrative Office! We are hoping to find volunteers that are available to cover reception duties while our Office Manager is on maternity leave.

Reception volunteers are an integral part of the Admin team at New Hope Housing, as you will be the first person that guests meet when visiting our office. You will interact with donors, potential volunteers, current residents, and community members. You will also assist with light administrative work, including filing, data entry, and organization.

Successful volunteers will have experience in an office setting, answering the phone, and knowledge of computers. They will also have a friendly and positive demeanor, with excellent communication skills.

We are looking for volunteers that are available Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you think that this fits you, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Sami Smyth at 703-799-2293 x 11 or ssmyth@newhopehousing.org.

New volunteers will need to attend an orientation and interview prior to starting!
