Pet Therapy

Beacon Hospice an Amedisys company is looking for certified Pet Therapy Volunteers to offer therapeutic non-medical support as needed to the hospice patient, family/caregiver, and staff at communities our patients reside. Volunteers must have certified dogs to be eligible for this program.
We have several opportunities in the Hingham, Waltham and South Plymouth area.

Hospice patients enjoy having visits from certified dogs to bring them companionship, comfort, happiness and wonderful memories of their pets. Pet Therapy helps patients cope better with their medical problems, relieve stress from illness, provide comfort and companionship. Patient's look forward to their next visit with these animals.

If you have 30 minutes of extra time to spend with a patient and share the love of your pet with them, we would like to have you join our team.

We offer volunteer training (Certificate will be provided) and a fabulous volunteer team. Reach out today to inquire about this amazing opportunity and find out when the next volunteer training will be taking place.
