ORGANIZATION: Learning to Work

We are hosting the annual Careers event to support the 13-14yr olds in making their GCSE choices. Giving them the knowledge from over 60 businesses gathering for a mock careers fair. Set up a stand for your business for the day. Just be available to answer questions or guide young people about careers in your industry.

1200 students have signed up to attend, they arrive at the venue a year group at a time (on average 200 per year group) arriving every hour. We will provide a free sandwich lunch and free parking at the venue.

Lend your time to educate Sloughs young people about career opportunities in your industry.

By providing a link between businesses and schools, Learning to Work creates opportunities to raise aspirations and develop the skills of today’s young people and have been providing this quality service to the world of education and business in the local area for over 20 years.

Description

We currently support over 30,000 children in the local area running curriculum events to assist local schools. The local area being Bracknell, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Slough Borough. We reach out to support both Primary and Secondary education therefore age 4-19yrs. We look for corporate membership and school membership to fund the charitable organisation and have been running successfully for over two decades. We also survive off the generous volunteering offered by both individuals and corporations.
