Spend your summer learning, mentoring, and having fun with the best in the field. Our team of dedicated professionals are proud to offer a meaningful, community-based camp for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities including Autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, and other related diagnoses.
Internship requirements:
- Full-time 8-week commitment (9:30am-3:30pm) (Fourth of July off)
- Participation in a 2-day orientation prior to camp
- Experience working, volunteering, and/or living with people with developmental disabilities
- Adherence to our Bill of Rights: www.reidsgift.org/bill-of-rights
- Enrollment (or acceptance) in a college program in a related field (e.g., education, psychology, social work, recreation therapy, speech therapy, disability studies, occupational therapy, etc.)
- Completion of a criminal background check
- Active engagement as a creative, thoughtful, responsible member of the team
- Submit your résumé and brief description of your experience and goals in the field
- If chosen, schedule an interview with camp leadership (in person or online, based on location)
- Review and sign internship agreement
- Submit to a criminal background check
- If applicable, submit college paperwork to camp leadership
- Attend in-person 2-day orientation
- Join the team!

Since our inception we have grown to a family of passionate professionals who support people in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, and Mono Counties in California. We are proud to provide individualized supports that help people live the lives they want to live, and to collaborate with families and colleagues around the globe. In addition to helping people achieve their goals, we engage in qualitative research, conference presentations, curriculum development, in-person workshops, consultation, and advisory roles.
