Description

For more than 138 years, the YMCA of Greater Seattle has provided safe and caring environments, positive role models, and creative opportunities to serve the needs of others. Our mission is to build a community where all people, especially the young, are encouraged to develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body. The Accelerator is a unique branch of the Y of Greater Seattle, featuring an array of programs that serve youth across King County. Through housing, career, and education resources, crisis intervention and counseling, and violence prevention, the Accelerator YMCA helps young people be safe, successful and happy so they can create a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Volunteers help us achieve this mission as they join with us to address the many needs of our community.
