We are implementing an exciting, new pilot program and need 3 tutors to join us! Supplemental tutors provide instruction in specific topics, such as a Social Studies unit about the Revolutionary War, "Real World" math including calculating percents as well as reviewing multiplication and integers, introduction to computers and basic use of Microsoft Word, or a unit centered on entrepreneurship through project based learning. Tutors follow an outlined syllabus and are asked to commit for a minimum of 3 months, and teach a small group of adult students for 2 or 4 hours weekly. Tutors are needed on Tuesdays from 1-3 pm, Wednesdays from 6-8 pm, or Fridays from 9-11 am. If you would like to learn more about our programs, please visit http://www.readingconnections.org/how-you-can-help-volunteer.asp.
Please email Karen at kevans@readingconnections.org to register for our upcoming Tutor Training.
