PurpleStride

WAGE HOPE.

PurpleStride is the signature event of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Each year, in communities across the country, tens of thousands of people participate in more than fifty-six PurpleStride events, including PurpleStride Miami. These events are critical in raising awareness and funds that advance research and support patients and loved ones with a promise of a better tomorrow.

Join us for PurpleStride Miami 2018 at Tropical Park on Saturday, February 10th!

We would love help with event setup and teardown, registration, manning booths (food&beverage, purple play zone, photo booth, etc), passing out waters at stations along the course, event breakdown, and so forth.

Come anytime you're able, and report to the Volunteer Check-In Tent to Sign-In for your Volunteer Hours and to select from the available volunteer opportunities. Staying for a long time? If you want to switch up your position mid-way, just report back to the Volunteer Tent. When you're ready to leave, go to the Volunteer tent again to sign out and receive your signed volunteer hours form (if you have a specific form from school, bring it with you).

Volunteers under the age of 18 need to either be accompanied by an adult, or have their parent sign a waiver in advance. Email miami@pancanvolunteer.org for the waiver.

Registration Opens: 6:00AM

Opening Ceremonies: 7:00AM

Mission Statement

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and wage hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

Know It. Fight It. End It.

Description

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach and advocacy for a cure. The organization raises money for direct private funding of research--and advocates for more aggressive federal research funding of medical breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network fills the void of information and options by giving patients and caregivers reliable, personalized information they need to make informed decisions. The organization helps support individuals and communities all across the country work together to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for pancreatic cancer. We create a sense of hope and community so no one has to face pancreatic cancer alone.
