Can you spare a few hours a month to help save a life? Lack of transportation has become a major problem for thousands of cancer patients. Many patients need daily or weekly treatments, often over a period of months, and they simply have no transportation or are too ill to drive. Family and friends may help, but sometimes it's just not enough. Road to Recovery is an American Cancer Society service program that provides cancer patients with transportation to and from scheduled treatment appointments. Volunteer drivers donate their time to take patients to treatments and return them to their homes. Reliable car, pass background check, access to email/phone and be available during business hours for medical appointment times required. Drive one ride a month or once a week, it can fit into your schedule. This can be just in the Vancouver area with some rides over to Portland but, you get to choose when and where you drive so are not required to drive to Portland. Drive once a week or once a month when ever your schedule permits....
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
We'll work with your schedule.
