On January 20th, Walker's Point Community Clinic will be hosting a Refugee Women's Exercise Class. The refugee women will engage in Zumba dance and yoga and then afterwards the will engage in art-making, and health education. The classes will be hosted at CORE EL Centro and AWPCC at 130 W. Bruce Street. In order for the refugee women to attend many of them need child care assistance in order to enjoy the class. In order to accomplish this we will need several volunteers willing to help take care of children ages 4 and up in a children's daycare room from 1:30-4pm. Other tasks include helping with clean up. It is best that we recruit women volunteers only because the refugee women will have their head scarves off and it is against their religion if a man sees their hair.
