Mission of FMDNS:

An important value of the center is to have a safe and healthy environment that will meet the developmental needs of the children. In order to do this, we must recruit creative, resourceful and caring volunteers. The success of the center comes in meeting the needs of the children and families in our community.

Position Title: Teacher Assistant for Infant 1

Job Description: Volunteer assigned to this classroom will primarily assist the teacher rock babies to sleep; sing songs and patting backs at nap time. The volunteer will read books, sanitize toys, washing and making bottles when appropriate. Volunteer will be also help the teacher create age- appropriate art activities to encourage early learning skills. No diaper changes ALLOWED.

Qualifications:

• Volunteer must be reliable and punctual
• Must follow teacher’s instructions for proper sanitizing
• Volunteer must communicate well with teachers and staffs
• Dependable and committed
• Pass an FBI background check

Hours: 8:00am to 12:00pm/ Afternoons 2:00pm to 6:00pm/5 days a week

Volunteer Needed: 1

Reports To: Vista Volunteer Developer and/or Volunteer coordinator
