Status: N/A
Type: Various shifts available
Mondays (10am 2pm, 2pm -5pm, 5pm - 7pm)
Thursdays (10am - Noon, and Noon - 2pm)
Saturdays (11am - 2pm)
A great opportunity for those who just want to volunteer a couple of hours a week!
General Statement of Duties
The shopper is responsible for escorting food pantry clients through the food pantry and informs clients of the amount of product they may remove from pantry shelves.
In addition, shoppers verify outgoing poundage and completes minor paperwork.
The volunteer shopper reports to the Facilities Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED preferred. Patience working with limited English speaking clients. Experience with retail and or customer service a plus but NOT required

Hospitality House works to fulfill this mission by operating a food pantry and providing referral services. In addition, Hospitality House also provides advice and aid to pantries in other cities as they work to fight hunger in the greater southeastern Michigan community
Description
Hospitality House is the largest client choice food pantry in Oakland County Michigan. Serving over 500 families monthly. HHFP provides free food for families at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
