Mission of FMDNS:

An important value of the center is to have a safe and healthy environment that will meet the developmental needs of the children. In order to do this, we must recruit creative, resourceful and caring volunteers. The success of the center comes in meeting the needs of the children and families in our community.

Position Title: Kitchen Assistant

Job Description: The volunteer should be able to help the cook execute duties effectively and in a timely manner. The volunteer will be responsible for dishwashing, sweep, mop, and clean up counters. Also, the assistant will straighten up food and restock pantry; take out trash, clean up drawers and cabinets. Food handlers are a plus. Please provide current certification if you have it.

Qualifications:

• Stamina and enthusiasm
• Volunteer must be reliable and punctual
• Must hold a friendly attitude to communicate with others
• Volunteer should be able to work quickly and effectively
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs or more
• Take direction well
• Must be able to multitask
• Pass an FBI background check

Volunteers needed: 3

Hours: Mornings: 10:30am to 1:00pm/ 3 days, preferably on FRIDAYS.
