I am looking for someone that would be interested in occasionally cutting hair for a hospice patient. Sometimes we have a patient that is not able to leave their home but are in desperate need or want of a haircut. This would be 100 percent flexible to your schedule. You would have to complete our volunteer training and we will pay for your finger printing and TB tests. I would love to add this service for our patients. I am positive it will make both parties feel good about themselves. I am the volunteer coordinator and will even go with you on these visits until you feel comfortable going by yourself.
Our main office is in Mason MI but we serve patients in Ingham, Jackson, Eaton, Calhoun and Clinton counties but you will only have to travel to the areas that you are comfortable with.

Description
Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for people in the final phase of a terminal illness. Hospice care seeks to enable patients to carry on an alert, pain-free life and to manage other symptoms so that the last days may be spent with dignity and quality at home or in a home-like setting. It is the goal of Heartland Hospice to provide palliative and supportive services to meet physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs to the patients and caregivers in the home, health care facilities, or other residential settings. These services will be provided without regard to race, religion, gender, creed, sex or ability to pay.
