Mission of FMDNS:

An important value of Fred Moore Day Nursery School is to have a safe and healthy environment that will meet the developmental needs of the children. In order to do this, we must recruit creative, resourceful and caring volunteers. The success of the center comes in meeting the needs of the children and families in our community.

Position Title: Outside Maintenance

Job Description: Volunteer will be responsible for outside maintenance duties and keeping the premise clean and presentable for the families. The volunteer will be trimming, cutting lawn using hands, shoveling snow from sidewalk, and sprinkle ice salt down to keep the community from failing, making sure pipes, doors and windows are working properly, windows washing, and removing garbage that may be unsafe to the public.

Qualifications:

• Volunteer must be committed to his/her assigned schedule
• Must hold a High School Diploma
• Provide certification/ experience as a maintenance intern or worker
• Basic working knowledge in plumbing and electrical systems
• Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools
• Must be reliable and responsible at all times
• Pass an FBI background check

Reports To: Volunteer Coordinator and/or Vista Volunteer Program Developer
