The Cascade Township Branch of Kent District Library supports the Free Library at the Gerald R Ford International Airport. Before books can be placed at the airport, they need to be "processed" here at the branch. This includes:
- Remove Mylar covers
- Remove or cover identification stickers
- Prep containers of books to be taken to airport.
This position requires:
- Manual skills and dexterity necessary to affix or remove labels to books
- Physical agility to lift/carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds and retrieve or place materials above shoulder or below knee level.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to sort/file materials alphabetically.

Our cardholders have access to one of the largest digital collections in the country, featuring eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming or downloadable movies, music, games and even a digital comic book collection.
