ChickTech Bay Area is looking for 5 - 7 workshop leaders to lead weekend long workshops on January 12 - 13, 2019 from 9am - 5pm both days in San Francisco (at an office in SOMA/Financial District).

The role of ChickTech Workshop Leaders is to create and lead a fun, creative, project-based tech/STEM workshop that leaves our high school participants with a strong sense of accomplishment and confidence. Topics may include (but are not limited to) web development, web design, game development, and UX design. It is helpful for workshop leaders to have some prior teaching or TA experience. Workshops should include 8-9 hours of class time total, split up into two days, and should result in a take-home project/item for each participant.

ChickTech will purchase any necessary supplies (up to $30 per student), make sure students have access to laptops (if necessary to complete the workshop), and find teaching assistants to help. There will be approximately 8 - 15 students participating in each workshop.

ChickTech is dedicated to retaining women in the technology workforce and increasing the number of women and girls pursuing technology-based careers. + A background check is required for all volunteers working with our students
+ Must attend an orientation session before the event
