ORGANIZATION: GIRLS WITH CLASS INC

Girls With Class is looking for fun, skillful, passionate, and dedicated mentors to tutor middle schools girls in the Detroit and metro Detroit area. Tutoring/mentoring will take place at various schools within the area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective subject instruction using the Positive Leadership Development
  • Assist in tracking the progress of each student
  • Complete administrative tasks as they are assigned
  • Contribute to the creation of an engaging and productive learning environment
  • Engage in initial and on-going training
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Available afterschool for 1-2 hours
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field
  • Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement
  • Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry
  • Be able to create lesson plans
  • Having a personality that is suited for different types of students
  • Strong administration skills
  • Strong typing, PC and recording skills
  • Having reliable transportation
