The South Shore Habitat for Humanity Site Selection Committee is seeking volunteers who have experience with municipal zoning or planning, approvals and permitting, civil engineering, or construction management. Volunteers will be assisting with identifying and researching new opportunities that often require zoning relief usually by the issuance of a special permit or comprehensive permit.
The Site Selection Committee meets monthly in Weymouth and based on previous experience, volunteer s should have an interest in r esearch ing availability of land opportunities throughout Plymouth and Norfolk Counties and h ave experience with municipal zoning or planning, approvals and permitting, civil engineering, or legal knowledge of residential real estate. The level of commitment is flexible and entirely dependent on a volunteer’s ability and willingness to serve Habitat’s mission.
Habitat for Humanity does not give its homes away, we offer simple, decent, affordable homeownership opportunities to low-income households earning no more than 60% of the area median income through a 30 year interest free mortgage.
