Reporting to the Meta volunteer of the People Management Team, the Social Media Sourcing Specialist is an integral part in the success of Advance Social Innovation. The Social Media sourcing Specialist will work to provide support to the People Management Team by building a strong online presence of the organization. The social media recruiter will build the competitive advantage of the organization in important online niches and increases the probability of hiring key job positions using the social media. The recruiter will explore the social media and build strong supporting network to communicate specialized job vacancies into right niches present in online media.

Our Social Media sourcing operation Specialist should possess the following competencies - self-starter attitude, strategic, action oriented, quick learner, accountable, comfortable utilizing virtual communication methods, tech-savvy, multitasker, and strong communication skills.


  • Creates the social media recruitment strategy, which is aligned with the marketing and HR communication of the organization
  • Explores and leverages important recruitment niches to hire leadership and critical roles
  • Facilitates HR Recruiters in posting right job vacancies online and relevant fora
  • Responsible for posting on various job posting websites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.
  • Establishes a rapport with potential applicants via call / email advising them of the next steps
  • Forward all volunteer applications to the appropriate HR Business Partner for interview
  • Maintain a consolidated up to date tracker of all potential applicants
  • Measures the social media performance in the recruitment area

Qualifications Preferred

  • Minimum of 7 hours’ volunteer engagement per week
  • Human Resources degree or relevant experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in a startup phase non-profit organization.
  • Social Media Hiring Knowledge
  • Networking Skills (internal and external)
  • Highly collaborative style; experience working in a virtual environment highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; follow up and follow through approach. Must be very responsive to all applicants within 48 business hours.
  • Self-starter, able to work virtually, independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
